Our primary venue for all screenings is Rialto Cinemas in the Harvey Norman Centre on Moorhouse Ave. Nearly all screenings are held in Cinema 2 on Monday nights, with any exceptions clearly indicated in the year's programme schedule. Rialto gives all Film Society members student prices for all standard sessions while their membership is valid.

Canterbury Film Society is a non-profit incorporated society that aims to screen interesting films (foreign films in particular) which would not otherwise be seen in Christchurch. The Society is operated by a core committee of dedicated volunteers and whatever outside help we can muster.
