Driving across the wide Iranian countryside, a family navigates a road trip full of conflicting emotions. Dad has a broken leg and a mood to match, while Mum fusses over her two children and the dog. As the destination draws closer, the claustrophobia in the car grows alongside the love they have for each other.
Doors open 6.50pm at Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū for drinks, nibbles and socialising. Film starts at 7.30pm.

Taking you further into film
The Canterbury Film Society screens films on Monday nights from February through October at the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū with a programme of films designed to entertain, inform and inspire film lovers. Doors open 7.00pm with an opportunity to socialise and buy drinks and food beforehand. Screenings start at 7.30pm.
Full membership provides access to all our regular screenings. With over 30 films being shown every year, we bring our members into an extraordinary world of cinema for less than $5 per film.
We also offer a Flexi-Pass membership, so you can come to any three films we’re screening for $40. Plus, we have regular open events with free entry to all (koha/donation appreciated).
